The dimensions do the work

A 15-yard roll-off measures 16' L × 7.5' W × 4.5' H. Our 20- and 30-yard boxes both run 22 feet long, so the 15 is the container we send when the driveway is short, the side yard is narrow, or parked cars pinch the truck approach. It still needs a firm, level surface and a straight run for delivery — but it fits sites the longer boxes rule out.

The 4.5-foot walls are the second advantage. You can swing a bucket of plaster or a bundle of lath over the side instead of walking every load through the rear door. For a one-person cleanout spread across a weekend, that saves real effort.

Built for the age of Cincinnati housing

Ohio carries one of the oldest housing stocks in the country. The Ohio Housing Finance Agency counts nearly one in four units statewide built before 1940, half built before 1965, and more than two-thirds built before 1980 — old enough to potentially contain lead-based paint. Renovating rooms of that vintage produces dense debris: plaster and lath, layered flooring, worn cabinetry, iron fixtures. A single old-house room can load a 15-yard box without ever looking like a big job.

Heavy material likes a small box

Weight closes a container before volume does. Brick, tile, concrete, plaster, and dirt hit hauling limits while the box still looks half empty, so a dense load usually belongs in a 15 with an agreed fill level rather than a bigger container. Both ends of our two-state market accept the material: Rumpke’s landfill on Struble Road in Colerain Township lists construction debris including brick and concrete among its accepted materials, and Bavarian Waste in Walton, Kentucky publishes brick, block, concrete, masonry, dirt, and asphalt on its drop-off list. Brush and yard debris need a plan

The 15 handles brush and light yard waste mixed into a cleanup load. A dedicated yard-waste load is different: Ohio EPA bars source-separated yard waste from municipal landfills unless it is headed to composting. Hamilton County residents can use the county’s seasonal yard-trimmings drop-off sites instead of a rental for grass and bundled brush.
